Our Partners

Students from more than 100 countries choose Northumbria University because of academic excellence, a career edge and a fantastic student experience. Northumbria has some terrific TV & Radio facilities and offers a number of highly-regarded media / journalism / production related degree courses.

Our Law for Journalists session takes place in the replica court room at the University's impressive new Law & Business School. Our sports reporting session includes a look at the flagship facilities of Sport Central - home of Newcastle Eagles Basketball Club.

Our workshops are chaperoned by a member of staff from the Newcastle United Foundation - an independently registered charity supported by Newcastle United Football Club.

Through the Foundation we also supply schools with standard risk assessment & work experience/employer documentation. We do keep note of attendance and of course liaise with schools regarding any absences, but the students are not treated as if at school. For example, uniform is not required and timekeeping & punctuality is their own responsibility.

We stress to all the students that this is a great chance for them to gain an important first impression of an exciting industry ... and it's also about them making a good first impression to us!
